Glossary Resources

Finding the Glossary:

Each site has a slightly different level of data, so each glossary has slightly different information. In order to visit your site’s glossary is found at sitename.trumedianetworks.com/football/glossary.

In order to find your site’s glossary, click on the ‘?' icon on the toolbar on the left-hand side of the page.

The glossary has a list of all stats and filters available on the site, with the following search options...

Stats

  • Search: search the Abbrev and Name of all stats

  • Scopes: limit the list to only stats for Offense, Defense, Passing, Rushing, etc.

  • Granularities: Aggregate stats are available for reports on all pages except play-by-play; Event stats are only available for play-by-play reports, on play-by-play pages and pop-up modals

The list will also soon include the stat equation and a designation for native/custom stats.

Filters

  • Search: search the Name and Info columns of all stats

  • Types: choose the kind of filter (MultiSelect, Range, etc.)

  • Groups: choose which group the filter is in, in the left-side filter menu (Play, Game, Season, etc.)

  • Timespans: choose season-level, game-level, or event-level filters

  • Scopes: the tabs and stats to which the filters apply (Offense, Defense, etc.)  

  • Entitites: the pages to which the filters apply (Team, Player, etc.)

Searching Tips & Tricks:

We have a number of patterns that we have while naming statistics, and here is a helpful guide to finding statistics. When searching for stats in the following categories, it might be helpful to use the corresponding abbreviations or phrases:

General

  • Games: “Game”, “G”

  • Points: “Pts”, “P”

  • Scoring: “Score”, “Scr”, “Scrd”, “Sc”, “S”

  • Yardage: ”Yards”, “Yds”, “Yd”, “Y”

    • Distance: “Distance”, “Dist”, “Dst”, “Dt”, “D”

    • To (example: “Distance to Goal”): “to”, “2”, “T”

  • Drives: “Drives”, “Drv”, “Dr”, “D”
